She bites!

I got the kids pictures done this past week and they turned out really good! Here is one of my favorites:

Gracee got her first tooth last week and I think another is trying to poke through. She bit me while I was nursing her today. This caught me completely off guard because she was just a sucking away and bam she clamped down and hard! It startled me and I screamed and scared her. Now every time I nurse her she bites me. I have been just taking her off and placing her on the floor. I hope she stops doing this because that sharp little tooth hurts.
Today while I was making our lunch Dalton brought his stuffed animal that is a tiger and placed it on the floor and got a baby wipe and pretended like he was changing its diaper. He said "change him." Then he throws him across the room and said he was sleepy. I thought he was being sweet then he had to go and throw the tiger. Boys will be boys!

Children

Its funny how much my kids are different. Gracee is doing nothing at all like Dalton done. Dalton never really rolled around at all. Gracee is a Roley polly! She rolls all over the room! Dalton started crawling at 7 months, Gracee has no interest in crawling yet. She would rather stand. Dalton did not get a tooth until he was over a year old, Gracee just got her first tooth the other day. Dalton was a independent baby while Gracee is attached to my hip! Dalton was a little baby always below the 20th percentile and Gracee is a chunky monkey always in the 80th to 90th percentile. That just goes to show kids are so different and develop at different rates.

Big boy!

We had a lazy weekend, did nothing at all. It was very nice! Gracee has not started crawling yet, Dalton started crawling at 7 months. I am not too worried she is very happy rolling everywhere she wants to go. I am in no need for her to grow up since she is my last baby. She does say ma ma all the time and when she says it she sounds like she is saying my ma ma! I decided that since she is not really interested in bottles I am going to skip them all together. She likes cups with straws so when I am away from her I am going to pump ( I hate pumping!) and put the milk in her straw cup for her. I hope this works well.

Dalton decided he wants to be a big boy. I put his big boy underwear on him and he has had no accidents at all. Last week when I tried the underwear he had a lot of accidents. He peed in the potty first thing and when he was through he said "Good boy!" He later went in his room and was playing with his tractors. He all of a sudden came running to me and said "diaper on" I asked him if he had to go potty and he said "ok." He then pooped in the potty and peed two more times! I am very proud of the little guy! He will still of course wear diapers at nap and bedtime. I am just happy we are making some progress towards potty training. Both of the kids have colds, its Gracee's first cold ever! Neither one have fevers just a runny nose. I hope both of them are better by next week because I have an appointment for them to get their pictures done. I will leave you a picture of Dalton enjoying his four wheeler he got for his birthday.

Birthday Boy!

Dalton's birthday was the 23 and he became a 2 year old! I can't believe he is already 2! We had a birthday party for him at a place called Monkey Joe's, its a bounce house place. He absolutely loved it! The only thing he didn't like about it was there was someone dressed as a monkey there and all the little kids were terrified of it. Dalton ran from him screaming and I had to tell the person to please not come out again. I was a little nervous that it would give him nightmares because he kept saying "monkey hurt you."

Dalton got loaded with toys! He got: a bicycle, (believe it or not it is the smallest bicycle I have ever seen and he can ride it!) a big wheel, dump truck, several tractors, bubble lawn mower, fishing pole, barn with farm animals, some DVDs of tractors and trucks, money, ambulance truck, pj's, and we got him a battery powered 4 wheeler.

The following day he played all day with all of his new toys and even let Gracee Jayne play with some of them! I was shocked and proud he was sharing. He refused to take a nap so I let him play quietly in his room. When I went to check on him because he was too quiet he had fallen asleep with his tractor in his hand! It was too cute and I am still beating myself up for not taking a picture. He is a big boy now!!

Beach vacation

We just got back from Myrtle beach and we had a blast. It was kinda Dalton's first time since the last time he went he was only 8 months old. Dalton was not even scared of the water which kinda frightened me. He would run in it and fall and get up and do it again. I did some firsts while I was there too like I nursed Gracee on the beach and also at the tanger outlet stores. Nobody even payed any attention to what I was doing either. Here are some pictures from our trip:

I will do a longer post in a little bit. ;)

Intro

Hello everyone! I have started this blog to keep a journal for my family and maybe to help relieve some stress also. Here is some background info: Me and my husband Travis got married on 5/6/06. Travis owns his own business a nursery that grows all kinds of grasses and groundcovers its a 30 year old bussiness. I worked at a bank as a teller.

We started trying for our first baby in July of 2006 and on December 26 2006 I got a BFP! Dalton was born on 8/23/07 at 38wks 6 days:

We were so happy to have a healthy baby boy! Dalton had to be put in daycare at just 6 weeks old so I could go back to work. He stayed sick constantly with ear infections and it broke my heart. We made a big decision in April 2008 that I would quit my job and stay at home with Dalton.

We were not planning on having another child for a while but someone else had other plans. I got a surprise BFP on mothers day of 2008! Gracee Jayne was born on 1/6/09!

Dalton had a hard time with his sister being around at first. Now after 7 months Dalton loves his sissy and she absolutely loves him! Our family is complete!
